Dear Delegates and Advisors,

It is my distinct honour to welcome you to DAV CSP MUN 2015.

 

The DAV Chandrasekharpur Model United Nation is a platform for today's youth to  set a benchmark of high quality debating, diplomacy combined with cause commitment. We know that hunger, poverty, illiteracy and terrorism have no border or boundary. Be it Palestine or Israel, India or Pakistan. There are still millions of people deprived of their basic human rights. Education is still a dream for millions of children. 

Journey of a thousand miles start from a single step forward. The DAV-CSP MUN will initiate a change by contributing 5% of our share money with CHILD WORKER’S CAREER FUND (CWCF). The campaign has seen enormous support from various leaders across the nation. The campaign highlights that as the Government of India has enforced another ban on child labour, with the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act 1986. But, no law is a guarantee against illegalities. Prohibition alone is no solution to child labour problem. What’s the alternative for their rehabilitation and future? This is like forcing them to starve, or to earn food by begging or stealing or falling prey to crime networks. With more than 500 expected delegates all around the country DAV CSP MUN 2015 will not only be a mere agglomeration of regions, but also values and cultures. The vast array of topics and committees will further ensure a uniquely engaging and thought-provoking experience for each and every delegate. 

I am quite assured on the fact that your participation in DAV CSP MUN 2015 will not only help in building up your knowledge on international relations and skills of diplomacy but also an opportunity to help millions of children and enhance the true spirit of leadership.
